Meet Eric

A friend of my Mum's saw Henry a few months ago and asked me if I would make her one in the camo colours of XH 558 and after some playing about with colours and some doodling on the pattern Eric is the result

Eric and Henry had a chat before he left to go to his new home

She has now asked me to make a white one with XH 558 on his tummy to represent the colour she was during the cold war.

I'm also working on a 'normal' coloured one for me to enter in the Cheshire Show this year

Birthdays

Last Saturday was my Birthday and I had some lovely gifts off my family and fella which will probably be making an appearance at some stage but I also had a couple of stitching friends.

Over on Needlecraft Haven I took part in the Birthday exchange and received this package from Deb, she sent me the thread to stitch Friends Forever and a kit for a lovely little bracelet which I have made up but haven't taken a piccie of yet :(

And Clare sent me a lovely scissor fob, I'm still trying to decide which scissors to put it on!

Yesterday was my fella's Birthday and I gave him Elefante

And made him a set of coasters, the fabric in the background is the one I used for the back of them

A late TUSAL

Yes folks it's that time again, time to post piccies of rubbish aka TUSAL time and if you're new and have no idea what I'm waffling on about follow the link to find out more

My ort jar is filling nicely so far despite it being bowling season and being out 3 nights a week.
Since last month I've added orts from Toy Gatherer, Magical  Night, Elefante, Sun Sampler and Lake District Sampler as well as lots of sewing thread from my quilt

And my beading orts

Gifted Gorgeousness

Hosted by the lovely Jo of Serendipitous Stitching Gifted Gorgeousness aims to get us to stitch those charts and use the fabric/ threads that have gifted to us over our stitching life.

This month I have 2 projects to share.
First is Elefante from AAN, it's my fella's Birthday present and I have actually finished but it looks like I've not taken a piccie of it so  you'll have to make do with a WIP Wednesday one from over a week ago.  I will get one taken in the week when he's not around

Next is the reason I'm a day late in posting :)

Today is my Birthday and every year I have a new start :)
This year I've started 4 Wishes from Just Nan, way back in 2008!!!! I was RAKed with the chart, accessory pack, fabric and some of the DMC for it so I've really not had any reason not to start it before now but I haven't!

New weekend project

With finishing Toy Gatherer a few weeks ago I needed a new weekend project and this one had been talking to me for a while.  M Designs Sun Sampler and it was last year's Birthday start.

I have been working on it for the last few weekends I just haven't been posting about it :(

As it started out

And after a few weekends

Fingers crossed I remember to post about it a bit more
