I did it :)

Squeezed one last finish into 2015 :)

Lizzie Kate's Special Edition kit 2007.

Sara Basil is a Dimples Design's chart, I have no idea if it's still available tho as mine was a PHD for over 10 years!

With a mere 6 minutes to 2016 I want to wish you all a Happy New Year and may it be a happy and craft filled year for you

Festive finishes

Strictly speaking they aren't festive finishes but projects I finished over Christmas.

First is Winter Box from Shepherds Bush, you all know what a sucker I am for a snowman.
He was started and finished on Christmas Day

And then there's Basil :)
I finished him off on Boxing Day because I've been doing the back stitch as I go it only took me a few hours to finish.
Please excuse the wrinkles

I might be able to squeeze another finish in tomorrow to end the year off but I'll have to see how it goes

Skill swap

A few weeks back on Needlecraft Haven  I asked if anyone would be interested in doing a skill swap with me, I had a small kit for a knitted penguin and while I can knit felt this was beyond me!
Julie very kindly said she would knit him up for me and here he is :)

Teejay was over the moon with him at the wedding and he's now called Dan

This is the ornament I sent to Julie in exchange, designed by a beading friend a few years ago and I've been looking for an excuse to make it :)
I'm happy to say that Julie loves it

Crafty gifts

Dec 23 my nephew got married and as they are expecting a baby in the new year they asked for things for the baby as wedding presents so I made a taggie blanket, it's far from perfect but for a first try I'm happy with it and the baby won't care :)

I gave my SIL a carrier bag holder for Christmas while we were there for the wedding

My Mum's Christmas present (I did frame it)

And this was a joint gift to Clare from Julie, Angie, Gill and myself, I also included a Christmas pud which you can see a pic of on Clare's tree if you follow the link

I also made a bookmark for fella but the picture I took was awful so I'll have to try again at som epoint

Tribal Dragonfly finished

As promised yesterday the piccie of the completed Tribal Dragonfly from Sparklies :)

I fell in love with this at the Harrogate Knitting and Stitching show at the end of November when I helped man the stand for the day.
It was a joy to stitch and I loved the Paintbox silks that Kate used in the kit, they were a delight to stitch with and I was so impressed I'm planning on using them on my Jan 1st start if I can get them sorted in time!

Last week's progress

First up is Plum Street Samplers 12 Days after last Friday.
I'll be working on this all the time now that I've finished the Dragonfly (piccie tomorrow) and should finish it by the end of the year.

And St Basil's.
I have one dome left to stitch and the back stitch to finish so it might be done this weekend esp since it's not the weekend I'll be spending with my fella and I have no other plans so can sit and stitch all day if I choose

TUSAL time

I'm late again for the Totally Useless Stitch A Long  but it's here now :)

Since last month's post I've added orts from Fruit, St Basil's, 12 Days, Tribal Dragonfly and lots of sewing thread from hexies

And my beading orts, lots of black because I had to frog :( and lots of grey under it from the ornaments

A finish and progress

The finish is Lucy's annual bookmark, this year I went with a Dr Who theme for her instead of a skull.
I was looking for a skull that I could live with making for her here and came across Dr who instead and went with it.
In case you can't figure out what it is it's the time warp

And progress upto Thursday night on the Tribal Dragonfly

Baubles

We had our annual Krampus evening on Friday night which meant the Christmas ornaments I make each year were handed out.  This year everyone got a bauble, all the patterns are from Threadabead

Fella's

Lucy's

Mel's

My Parents

We had a lovely evening right up until we were getting in the car to leave.
My Dad and I were already in the car and Fella was strapping Teejay into his seat when a guy hit the open door :(
Thankfully Fella wasn't hurt but the door is damaged and won't shut without a bit of brute force :(  so now I have the long fight to get it fixed because although he admitted it was his fault to his Insurance company they are arguing it

Puddings

I made more Christmas puddings last week to donate as raffle prizes locally.
I love making these they are quick and easy to do but very effective and popular as a prize

November progress and December goals

For November I said
Keep up hexie flower production and hit halfway sent on the Christmas petal swap  I've made plenty of flowers but not done so well with the CPS, the huge upheaval there didn't help
Finish the page I'm on with the fruit, it's the page with most on it    Not quite there
Get St Basil's almost finished   I think another couple of weekends and I'll be done :)
Catch up with the 12 days SAL   Nop, only just finished second day :(
Keep selling stash  A few things have gone to new homes
Post every day for National Blog Posting Month (NaBloPoMo)  I have 30 posts up

For December I'd like to
Finished St Basil's
Make more hexie flowers and snowflakes
Add to my hexie flower quilt
Finish at least one other project
Sell more stash

I stitched for 83 hours 20 minutes in November, had 1 new start and 1 finish and 1 day of no stitching but I did spend that day on hexies :)

Current PHD total = 28
