Southport Air Show

Last Saturday DBF and I went off to Southport for the air show and had a fantastic day.
Here's just a few pics from the day

We went to more than anything to see the Lancaster Bomber

And the Vulcan one of my favourite aircraft along with thousands of other people, she's known as the peoples aircraft and if you follow the link you'll be able to read all about her.
It's the only one flying and they are fighting to keep her in the air

I borrowed my parents video camera so have her and the Lanc as well as The Red Arrows I just need to figure out how to get it off the camera and posted on here!

Recently I was given the Stylish Blogger award by Silverlotus :)

Number 1 is done so on to number 2.

6, My favourite designer is Teresa Wentzler
7, I'm not a fan of roses and would rather have a bunch of carnations

Number 3.
Well see this is part of why it took me so long to post this I can't decide who to give it to and have changed my mind so much that I'm still not done so I'll come back with it when I have

New weekend project

It took me a few days to decide but in the end with a little help from Mel I went with Ink Circles Kaleidoscope as my new weekend project.

Here it is at the start of the weekend

And after just under 11 hours of stitching over sat/sun.

It was a joy to work on this one again and I'm itching for the weekend to get here again so I can carry on!

Tassel update

I've been slowly working on my tassel from the class last week and have made a fair bit of progress on it.

And this is the one I bought off the tutor which is much more my colours.

I have a couple of little things to do with it before it's ready to be worked on the main one being to cut the loops at the bottom.

Today I ........

Started out with this

Which turned into

And then I did this to it

I took another tassel class today at my local bead shop.
I know I've done one before and made a few but those were small tassels, this time we used a 100g hank and there was no wrapping involved other than for the neck.
I back there in just under a month for a finishing class on it so will have to get stuck in and get it done ready for then. Andddddd if I'm really, really good I'll get the one I bought made up off the tutor ready to go as well (this is supposed to be easier to make but not in my case so I've decided that if I ever get struck with the urge to do more I'll get the tutor to make them up for me!)
