May Gifted Gorgeousness

I'm scrapping in just in time this month :)

Gifted Gorgeousness is hosted by the lovely Jo over at Serendipitous Stitching and the idea is to use all those charts/ kits/ threads/ etc that have been gifted to us over the years instead of leaving them sitting in our stash feeling unloved, shoehorning is also permitted :)

First up for me is In The Post, it went from the pic in my previous post to this the weekend I came  home from Scarborough.
This one counts for GG as it was a Christmas gift in 2014 from fella

Monday May 16 was my birthday and as I always do I treated myself to a new start :)
Last Christmas I received a voucher for my local craft shop and it went towards the this Bothy Threads kit called Funky Street.   I've switched the fabric for a dyed lugana that looks like clouds, no idea if it has a name or not and no idea where it came from so it could well be a GG as well!

Back to In The Post and it went to this last weekend, almost at the top of it in this

And lastly the Love flag from Cross Stitcher June 2016.
Fella saw me looking at it and liked the You Rock project in it and bought the magazine for me so I'd stitch it for him :) but he also commented he liked the love flag in the cover kit but without the crown.
Last Sunday it was his birthday so I stitched it for him as a little something to open on the day

Progress, new start and a finish

A long over due for you this evening.

I went away on a stitching based holiday to Scarborough 2 weeks ago today and I've back a week and not posted a thing about it :(  so I'll start with the stitching I did while I was there.

Friday night saw Alchemical Romance get some attention and a few more motifs appeared

Sat and Sunday saw me working on In the post as normal, this pic is way out of date now because I has last weekend on it as well and I'm now over half way with it :)

The last project I worked is Lizzie Kate's Sweet Tooth boxers.
They have been sat in my stash for years waiting their turn and it finally arrived :)
As you can see I started and finished Cupcake and got the border for Pie done

Once I got home I got the inner border done on pie but no pic of that  and it's just a few lines of brown so pretty boring really.

Rivoli necklaces

A few weeks ago at the weekly beading group I spotted a kit I've not seen before, feel in love and decided I would have to treat myself to it.
When I told the owner she said I could have the pattern if I bought the rivoli's from her so I did :)

First I pulled out some lovely gold shadow ones and after playing about I came up with lemon and white for them

If you look close you can see that the facets on the bottom one are a little darker then the top ones I did it to make it a little different.

I also picke dout some lovely smokey grey rivoli's and paired them with one of my favourite seed beads, shame I've almost run out of them now :(

And again a better idea of the colours

And just had to go and make a black and red one as well :)

I do like black and red as a colour combo

I loved making these and when I get back I can see more in other colourways appearing as well as playing about to make the componant into earrings :)

April progress & May Goals

For April I said
Finish the seasonal SAL    I finished the stitching but have yet to find a frame for it :(
Start at least one project   I started just the one
Get a few symbols done on Alchemical Romance   Done :)
Work on a PHD    I've been giving Sunflower panel attention for a couple of weeks
Finishing another project would be nice    No just the one finish
Make some hexie flowers and snowflakes   Several more have headed out into the world
Sell some stash    Several items have found new homes

For May I'd like to
Finish the Sunflower panel
Pick my Birthday start and start it
Get a few symbols done on Alchemical Romance
Start at least one other new project
Get In The Post half finished
Keep up the hexie and snowflake production to get my list down
Keep selling stash

I stitched for 56 hours 3 minutes in April much less than the first 3 months of the year but the bowling season has started now so I'm out 3 evening's at least a week, I'll soon get back into the routine of it tho.    I had 2 new starts and 1 finish and sadly one day of no stitching :(

Current PHD total = 26
