TUSAL

This month I've added orts from Namaste, Mary Wigham, Sunflower (that I've just realised I've not posted!), Schoolgirl Lessons, Mel's Rose for her 21st, some normal sewing thread from the finishing I did and of course lots of colours of nymo/KO/C lon from beading and making lots of diamonds.

And yes I know it looks like my vase is falling over but it's not, it was nice and flat I'm the one that's wonky :)

A finish and an update or two

I finished LHN Schoolgirl Lessons a couple of days ago.
It's on a very pale lilac evenweave but I have no clue what and I used NN 153

Update #1 is my progress on Mary from the weekend.

Update #2 is the continuing saga of my Birthday Givaway.
It's been 2 weeks since I did the draw and I've not heard from Lynda so I've had DBF pull another name out and this time it's Ann from Beadlework.  Congratulations Ann

A Cube and an Angel

Last week I sat down with the aim of finishing a couple of beading projects off and did just that over a few days.
First I finished off the large cube to go with the earrings I made a few weeks ago, I had 3 of the squares sat on my beading mat until I had chance to get some more of the gold ones and once I had them they still sat there for a few more weeks!

This little angel has been sat beside my mat for a couple of months now whispering in my ear to please add her other wing cause she was dizzy from flying in circles for over 5 years.   Yes you read that right she's had one wing for over 5 years, she was one of the projects from the weekly class I used to go to and I just never got round to finishing her off.  I also think she's the reason I'm not very keen on brick stitch, her wings are a pain to do with an increase in every other loop on alternate rows and at both ends on every row.

Here she is in all her glory and yes she is standing up without support

And the back of her

She's the last of the projects from the regular class and I could say she's my ornament for June but she isn't, I've got yet another stocking almost finished for June

Mary Wigham update

I completely forgot to post an update last week, sorry about that.

Anyway over the last couple of weekends I've finished the pale blue motif, done all the black one beneath it and made a start on the brown one at the bottom.

I've decided to set myself a target of finishing her by the end of July so fingers crossed I'll meet it but it's not the end of the world if I don't.
Keep your fingers crossed and watch this space as they say :)

And the winner is.......

I wrote names on slips of paper and got DBF to pick one, he closed his eyes and delved in and pulled Lynda of A Cozy Little Place for Stitching out.

Congratulations Lynda.  I've sent you an email but it's bounced back :( so please can you email me in the next day or two (it's in my profile) Thanks

Some beading

Over the last few weeks I've made more diamonds and still have some to do

I've added them to my bead mat along with some I already had made.
I wasn't happy with the way I'd started it, I'd put the diamonds together wrong and they didn't line up properly so I undid and restarted it and I'm much happier with it now.

I've made a start on another tassel.  This is the one the tutor made during the class I took last year to show us how to make them and it's just my colour so I bought it off her.

And made another stocking which is May's ornament

May progress & June goals

For May I said
Make the fob up  I did, see previous post
Get an ornament done  Also done but I've yet to take a pic of it
Enjoy my Birthday start  Also done, I got 2 motifs finished
Get my birthday giveaway item made  I made it, I posted the giveaway and for some reason most of you missed it because it didn't show up   I have decided what I'm going to do but will post it next time

For June I'd like to
Start Mel's rose
Get an ornament done
Finish a beading project that's already started

I stitched for 83 hours 55 minutes in May, not bad considering I was away for a week of it and didn't really stitch that much while I was.  I had 3 new starts and 1 finish which was one of the starts and I had one day with no stitching but I did bead all day at one of the groups I belong to
