Turtles Happy Dance

On Friday I did the last few turtles, most I've managed to do in one day since I started the fact that got smaller each time is completely beside the point :)

The whole stack of Turtles

Turtles all the way down
Using my own colour way ie whatever I felt like each time :) on Dr Smith's tonic from Sparklies I also bought the chart from Kate

Time for my Stitch from Stash report.

Starting budget = £46
Spent = £3.95
Earnt = £8
Budget left = £50.05

I spent the £3.95 on JCS ornament preview issue and earnt the £8 with the plums ornament, it was started before SFS started this year but this was very little done.

Beaded pen

I'm off to the WI summer fair this afternoon and decided to make a raffle prize.

The pattern is from Fun Beading Patterns on etsy and it wraps around a standard pen (Pilot G2)

As normal please excuse the untidy bead mat :)

Stitching updates

First up is the Lake District Sampler.  It's taken me 3 - 4 weeks to finish the scene :( I really didn't like stitching it so kept putting it off and when I did pick it up I'd only do a bit but now it's done it should go much quicker

Next is last Friday's progress on Turtles

And lastly my weekend progress on St Basils

It's rubbish posting day

AKA TUSAL posting day.

Since last time I've orts from Spring Freebie, Lake District Sampler, Turtles all the way down, Plums ornament, St Basil's and lots of sewing thread from hexies

And my beading orts these haven't been added to very much over the last couple of months as my mojo wandered off somewhere but it's making it way back slowly :)

Couple of beading finishes

First up is A is for Apple from Oak Tree Crafts
It's a Limited Edition project from them so if you fancy having a go yourself order ASAP.
It's also going to be a companion to the big apple I have yet to do of theirs, you won't find it on the website it was a class last year that I was booked on but was unable to attend in the end because of my FIL funeral :(

View from the top

And another balloon this time a Candy Cane one, this is for a friend to give her Grandson at Christmas and she wants 3 more in different colours

New weekend project

With finishing the plums I needed a new weekend project once more so it was put to the vote with Fella, Lucy and Teejay and St Basil's won.

So here we go looking exactly the same as it did in August 2008 when I last worked on it!

And my very small amount of progress for the weekend

The main reason I didn't get much done was Teejay :)
He was up with his mum for a few days last week :)

Thursday he saw me working on a hexie flower and asked for one, he picked his own fabric and pestered me until it was made :)
He loved it and showed to everyone

Hexie swap

I've been busy with the hexie swap on Facebook the last few weeks.

The second batch I made

And the third batch

These were all made while I was away in Lincolnshire last weekend, the lilac and lemon one's bottom right were both made while at an airshow at Lincolnshire Aviation sat just feet from Just Jane their resident Lancaster Bomber :)

And I'm starting to build up quite a collection now

These were all waiting for me when I got home on Monday

And all of these were waiting for me on Friday when I got home :)

Plums Happy Dance

I was hoping to have this finished over the weekend but with being away I didn't get quite so much time as I would of liked to stitch so it came home looking like this

Because I had such a small amount left to do I went ahead and finished it :)

It should have an over 2 border and some fancy stitches as well but I like it the way it is so I'm leaving it alone.

July progress & August Goals

For July I said
Make progress on my quilt   No I've been busy with hexie flowers for the swap
Pick a new weekend project   Done and it's almost finished!
Finish the Lake District Sampler   No it's been a busy month and I took a week off from it
Keep selling stash   More items have found new homes

For August I'd like to
Make and send as many hexie flowers as I can (currently I need 17 of them)
Finish the plums
Finish Turtles
Pick a new weekend project
Get the next Pat SAL project started
Get the Lake District sampler to 3/4 done
Keep selling stash

I stitched for 59 hours 48 minutes in July, had no new starts and 1 finish and 2 days with no stitching when my mojo disappeared for a while :( but I did bead or hxie on those days.

Current PHD total = 30
