Whoops

I'm off to Nuneaton tomorrow for a gtg with some of the girls on Needlecraft Haven and we have a goodie bag exchange.
I stitched this for my goodie bag and had it stitched together and the ribbon in place and it was going so well until I turned the right way out and discovered that I'd put the ribbon in the wrong place.
I called myself a few names and decided that no way could I put it in so it now lives on my fabric scissors and other arrangements have been made for the goodie bag.

And of course I had to have help while taking pics

Bracelet finish

A few months ago I bought a Jill Oxton special magazine that was nothing but bracelet's.
Being someone that would rather make a thing than a piece of jewellery I quite surprised myself finding so many in it that I would want to make which is why it came home with me.

I wanted one that I could leave in my beading box that goes to classes & groups so that I had something to fall back on if for whatever reason I didn't work on the project I had with me but a month or so I go I get fed up of having so many things half done and finished a few of them this being one of them

Summer Kimono

I've been working away on the Summer Kimono adding at least a few rows every day and here's how far I am

My plan is to have it at the point where you do the front of the sleeves by the end of the weekend

Remembrance Day

They shall not grow old, as we that are left grow old
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning
We will remember them

Weekend progress

I'm quite pleased with the amount I got over the weekend and again I'm wondering why I put this aside so long ago!

Skating Penguins progress

Last week I worked on Teejay's stocking.
I was hoping to get these 3 done and start on the next row but it wasn't to be with finishing Mel's Rose on Monday and WI on Wednesday evening I didn't quite make it :(

New weekend project

I went with The Toy Gatherer from Shepherds Bush in the end I figured that it was about time I finished it :)
I have no idea when I started it but it was before 2004 that's when I started to take notes of start/finish dates and it doesn't have one.

Beaded CdC update

I haven't posted an update on this for the biggest part of a long time but I've been plodding on with slowly on and off this year and I'm coming up on the halfway point now.
All my previous pics have been of it in 2 pieces and I joined them together a few months back and then separated them again because I really wasn't happy with the join and I worked out it was because I had the second one the wrong way round, silly girl!

One of my goals for this year was to get one of CdC finished and it's looking like that isn't going to happen :( but I can always make it one of next years goals and

Follow on from yesterday's post

I did remember to take a pic of my bead mat being used as a starter strip :) and if you'd like to know how make/use one I've found this for  you

And here is said project after I took it off  just to make it a little clearer, before you ask it's called Summer kimono and I started with the sleeve section

Yesterday the postman brought me this lovely RAK, I have no idea who sent but it certainly made my day much brighter and on the off chance the sender is reading this post I'd just like to say Thank you for thinking of me and making my day better

Bead mat progress

I'm not sure if I've even posted about this this year!

Any way just lately I've been adding quite a bit to it and I'm up to 78 colours and 105 squares.
I have another strip about half done and enough colours waiting to finish it and start the next one

I got so fed up of doing diamonds for last years mat that I would not of done one this year had I stuck with them!   Squares are so much easier to do and it has the added bonus of being able to use it as a peyote starter strip, this I know because I have done just that today :) and in fact may well make that tomorrow's post if I remember to take pics that is
