Hot Cocoa Cafe

The last stitches have gone in on the Hot Cocoa Cafe of Santa’s village 🙂 which of course means the village is now complete

I started the village when the charts where released back in 2012.  I had them on auto ship along with the weeks and gentle art threads but I chose not to add the buttons.

Last weeks stitching

With my bid to get Santa's Village completed this year I thought I'd better get my backside into gear and get another house done this month.
Monday I made start on Candy Cane Cottage and finished it off after bowls on Friday night

I'm now at 2/3 complete and will need to stitch a house a month to finish this year which once bowling season ends shouldn't be a problem

Late progress

Better late than never it's my progress on Legends from last weekend.
All the border is now stitched and I'm about half way through back stitching it

Yesterday I joined the in the SAL in the parlour over on Needlecraft Haven and finished the Stocking Store apart from the Back Stitch

Santa's Village progress

This last week was Santa's village week and here's how far I got.
At the start of the week I'd hoped to get the Stocking Store finished but I've had a couple of days of not being able to settle to anything so I didn't quite make it.

The chest infection has gone (yay) but it's triggered asthma that hasn't been a issue for 20 years (boo) so I've got new meds to deal with that and get it under control and hopefully when I go back in a few weeks time we can start getting me off them.

And made a start on Santa's Stocking Store

Updates

Last week was my Santa's Village week and between being busy and being sick I didn't quite get it finished but I'm happy with my progress and it'll get finished next week.

And of course my weekend progress on Legends of the Dragons.
Between still being sick and it being a Bank Holiday weekend so having an extra I made quite a lot of progress on it.

I've not been fully well for 2 1/2 weeks now, Friday I went to the Doc's who confirmed that I do indeed have a chest infection and she gave me antibiotics.  They have helped but I'm still not right and in fact I think I'm starting to get a little worse again so I'll be back there this Friday asking for a stronger dose.

North Pole Post Office

Is finished :)
Well apart from a bit of the top border but I'll do that next time round and I can live with it till then.

I'm really going to have to pull my socks up with this if I'm going to get caught up and finished this year and not take 2 weeks to stitch each house!

Santa's village and The Zoo

I finally finished Poinsettia Place on Friday evening, it took me almost 2 months to do and I don't know why.   I'm keeping my fingers crossed the rest of the village doesn't take me so long

And my weekend progress on The Zoo, I'm almost at the point of it being my stitching which means it should go quicker as I won't be spending ages figuring out what has and hasn't been done.

Santa's Village

It's been a few weeks since I last shared my progress on Santa's Village although I have been in the parlour on a Wednesday night.

I've finished Santa's house and yes I know I've not done the french knots and that's because I'm planning on doing them all at the end so they don't get squashed but I might use beads instead.

And I've made a decent start on Poinsettia place

Santa's House

I forgot to post last week's progress on Santa's House after my evening in the parlour over at Needlecraft Haven
So I have 3 pics for you of it.

This first one is the before from last week

Second is last week's after pic which is also this week'd before pic

And completely unsurprisingly the last one is this week's after pic

And now's there's just 3 to go

Couple of updates

First up is my progress on Santa's House.
The fabric arrived on Tuesday and I made a start the same day, progress is up to Friday night.

And CHS The Birds & The Bees.
I've decided to use this PHD as a fill in, you know when you finish the project you've been working on and still have an hour or two of stitching time available that day but don't want to get anything else out that's when this will see progress.
In Jan I filled in the tree trunk and did the bees

PHD update's

Last week I pulled out CHS' The Birds & The Bees for some long overdue attention

This is last weekend's progress on My Earth and it's out of date because I've been working on it today

This week I pulled out CCN Joyful Summer again for some long overdue attention

Weekend Stitching

With being at the Get Together on Saturday I didn't work on Celtic Banner.
Well I took it with me and had it all set up to work on when I spotted a mistake and I wasn't in the mood to frog it right then so I put it away again.
So I worked on Joyful Summer instead.

I spent Saturday night and a good chunk of Sunday at DBF's so Celtic Griffin got some attention.

I spent Sunday evening on Celtic Banner and after frogging the mistake I almost got the 4 boxes finished.

For a few weeks now I've had the nagging doubt that the fabric wasn't long enough so this morning I layed it out on the floor and got the tape measure out.
I was almost right, I'm going to 1/2" left at the end so I'm thinking I'll miss out the backstitch border a little further down as that will give me another 1/2" of space at the bottom for finishing.

Monday I worked on Basket of Apples

Tuesday I did my hour on a UFO

Then I spent the rest of the week on Joyful Summer

I also worked on Mary Wigham on Friday but no pic of that

January starts so far

I have no intention of going mad and starting loads of new projects but I will be starting a few things and here are the first couple

Stitched CdC

CCN Joyful Summer, the fabric is actually a pastel yellow not the white it looks like but it was dull this morning because it was snowing when I took the pic.
