Christmas in July beading but posted in August :(

You may remember over a month ago I posted about Christmas in July that was taking place in a Facebook group I'm in.  I carried on beading after that post but never got round to posting about it :(

First I did a Geometric star using a pattern in the group files

While I was working on the star someone posted a pic of a pair of earring's she'd just finished and I fancied making a pair.
I dug out the bag of leftover delica's from Jean Power's Secret beadalong and made myself a pair.

And while I was making the earrings I though it would be nice to have a matching pendant only it turned into a matching necklace instead

I had so much of the mix leftover that I still have enough to make a single star as a pendant but for the time being I'm all starred out!

Croakworth

I had a really busy weekend last week and family visiting this week so never got round to posting my progress, heck it took me until this Friday to read Pat's email from last week!!

This is from last week, see that big X at the bottom?   I discovered it was one stitch over the the right so it had to come out this week unfortunately I didn't discover my mistake until I'd started the motif under it as well :(

So it doesn't look like I did much yesterday :(  but I have reached the bottom :)

New weekend project

It was my Silver Lining Daffodils that won the weekend slot this time round.  This is one of my oldest PHD's started way back in 2004 so it really is time I finished it!
I'm stitching it over one on 28 count.

An overall view of it last Saturday morning

Close up of the area I worked on before I did :)

And after

Wander back in a day or three to see how I got on this weekend

August Gifted Gorgeousness

Gifted Gorgeousness is hosted by the lovely Jo over at Serendipitous Stitching and the idea is to use all those charts/ kits/ threads/ etc that have been gifted to us over the years instead of leaving them sitting in our stash feeling unloved, shoehorning is also permitted :)

First up this month is Northern Expressions Union Jack.
For my Birthday this year I asked my Daughters for the chart and silks for this and they agreed :)

Funky Street has had some love this month, this one was part paid for by a voucher I received for Christmas

I finished In The Post :) the kit was a gift off my fella Christmas 2014

And my RR square which is a gift of time, energy, floss and love :)

Last weeks stitching

Monday I started working on the next Round Robin.  This one has a theme of Seaside and because it was set up while we were away in Scarbrough and they have some very colourfull beach huts there as soon as I found the chart for these I knew they would be perfect for it.
Apart from changing the shade of yellow for the yellow hut (it was the same as the sand and I wanted it a little different) it's in all the called for colours.

I was away in Lincolnshire for the weekend so took my toms along with me to work on once the beach huts were done.
With any luck they will be finished at the end of October when I go to Fella's son's wedding

TUSAL (late again :( )

By now you should all know about the totally useless stitch a long  hosted by Daffycat  and if you don't click on the link to find out more about it.

I don't know why I keep being late to post my rubbish pics :) I have all the dates in my stitching diary which I look at most days and I still manage to miss it, honestly if I had a brain I'd be sooo dangerous!

Anyway here they are late once more but at least I've remembered them.

I've added orts from my Round Robin, Sunflower panel, In The Post, Alchemical Romance, Pie, Croakworth, Union Jack, Beach Huts, Tomatoes and sewing thread from hexies

And my beading orts mostly from making stars

July progress & August Goals

For July I said
Finish In The Post   Done
Finish the Sunflower Panel   Done
Start the Union Jack design off my Daughters  Done
Sell some stash  :( Nop

For August I'd like to
Pick a new weekend project
Start a wedding sampler/gift
Get the next RR done and posted on time
A finish would be nice
Sell some stash

Considering that bowling season is well under way July was a good month stitching time wise with 95 hours 40 mins of it spent with a needle in my fingers.   I had 2 new starts and 4 finishes and I stitched every day :)

Current PHD total = 27
