More Crimson Poppies

 It’s had a little more love recently but had to be put away to work on a couple of models

Since finishing Persian Buttercup I’ve been working on my neglected Crimson Poppies.

I started these in 2008 and I have a feeling I’ve not worked on them since then!!

The last few days have been hot here so I’ve not been stitching much but I just realised that another reason is that I’ve had enough of these for now so they are going away and I’m going to treat myself to a new start 😁

Fingers crossed it’s not another 12 years before I work on them again

I did far better than I expected last weekend considering I only really had Sunday to work on it.

 I forgot to post again last week :(  so once again I'm playing catch up but in a way it's a good thing because you (and I) get to see just how much I got done in a weekend

I'm hoping that this coming weekend I'll get this area finished but since I'm out all day Saturday it may not happen so I'll be happy if I can back stitch the tall leaf  and get some of the last leaf stitched

When I pulled my Daffs out this afternoon to start stitching on them for the weekend it dawned on me that I hadn't shared my progress for the last couple of weeks :(  I have no idea how or why that happened but I'm putting it right :)

Weekend of Dec 3 +4 I completed all the yellow

Last weekend  (10 + 11 Dec) I stitched the leaf

And it's been a while since I shared an overall pic so here's one of those as well :)

I've gone back to the left hand flower again this weekend and I'm making good progress on it

More leaf bits, some of the brown withered stem and finally finished the back stitch on the big bloom

I was out all Saturday at a GTG and I left this at home because it's worked over one I knew I'd never be able to concentrate on it!

Sunday I worked on the leaf on the right so I could do the back stitch on the flower, I only have a little of the outline on the left petal to do now but need to do a few bits on the leaves first which I'm hoping I'll get done this weekend.

I'm getting fed up with working on it now so I've decided that I'm going to see how much I have left to do at the end of the year and if I feel I can finish it in a weekend or two I'll carry on otherwise I'll change to something else for a while

I worked on adding some of the greenery over the weekend 

The plan for this weekend coming is to back stitch the top right petal and if I can finish the greenery around it I'll back stitch the left one as well

Today's quick post is my progress from last weekend on the daffs as with the fan yesterday it wasn't touched the weekend of the wedding.

I did more around the centre of the bloom this last weekend and I'm ready to add the next 3 pages on the chart.

Just in case your sat there thinking I missed an update out I haven't :)  I didn't do any stitching the weekend of the beading class

First up is my Daffs and it's long over due :(  I never got round to posting my progress from a couple of weekends ago so here it is now

Sunday night it looked like this, it's not easy to see but I filled in a lot the gaps around the centre and did the back stitch as well

There will be very little progress (if any) this weekend as I'm away on a beading class both days but I will have beading to share 

And bringing up the rear is last week progress on Croakworth not much but it all counts

New weekend project

It was my Silver Lining Daffodils that won the weekend slot this time round.  This is one of my oldest PHD's started way back in 2004 so it really is time I finished it!

I'm stitching it over one on 28 count.

Another weekend project has bitten the dust :)

Last night I finished Splendor known around here as Mel's Rose stitched for her 21st Birthday and it's only 2 years and a couple of weeks late :)

For some reason I haven't posted updates on Splendor for the last couple of weeks, I have no idea how I managed that but I'm about to fix it :)

I've started filling in the gaps in the red and only have 3 shades left to do which I'll get done this weekend, after that I'll finish off as much of the backstitch on the rose as poss before moving onto the leaves.

As much as I'd love to see it finished this weekend I very much doubt it'll happen but it will be done next weekend
