Let's get the bad out of the way first.
On Monday while towing my Parents caravan back from Burford a gust of wind made it snake and despite doing exactly what I should of done I hit the barrier and ended up with the caravan on the hard shoulder and us across the first 2 lanes of the M6 at 90 degrees to it.
I am so grateful that the wagon driver behind me saw it coming and slowed down which in turned stopped the traffic in both lanes as another wagon driver slowed down in the centre lane or I'm sure I wouldn't be here now writing this.
The car (I say car but it's a big 4 wheel drive) where the front left corner of the caravan hit
Said corner
and again
The front right corner down towards the back were it was dragged along the barrier
and the rear right corner that took the first impact.
As well as the damage I've shared, cupboard door were broken off , contents spread everywhere, both the cooker and fridge have moved sideways and up, seats at the rear have moved and since fallen apart completely and I even managed to break several unbreakable plates and cups but 2 pint glasses survived unscathed!
We are fairly certain it's going to be a write off but won't find out until an assessor has been out to have a look
On to the good.
The first of Mel's leopard gecko eggs hatched this morning, 2 more to go for now at least.
And lastly the progress.
Over the weekend I finished the green and pink motif, did the 2 pink ones and the brown one and made a start on another

I am so glad you weren't hurt!
Congrats on the new geckos.
Lovely stitching!
Boy what a mess, It was very nice of the other drivers to slow and protect you from oncoming traffic.
Scary!!!
Lovely progress on MW
Oh no, how scary! It's terrible to see the damage to your car and caravan but I'm ever so grateful no one was hurt. *big hugs*
Shame about the accident ,but the main thing is that everyone is ok. Things can be replaced , you can't.
Take care .XXX
My goodness! I'm glad you are okay. Trailers can be tricky. My mom had a similar accident many years ago. Hopefully you get it all straightened out with your insurance, and I do really hope that you have no injures at all.
Thank goodness for motorway drivers who were paying attention, caravans and cars can be relaced, you and other people cannot.
Lovely progress on MW and congrats on the new addition to your family.
love and {hugs}
Wow Lindsay. How scary. I'm so glad no one was hurt. Vehicles can be replaced. Great progress on MW. A big hello to the new family members. lol
Linda
Was thinking of you when I was in Northwich today. Thank goodness for those lorry drivers.
So sorry to hear about your accident, so glad everyone is okay!
Glad to hear that you weren't hurt but sorry the caravan will probably have to be written off.
The baby gecko is cute - even though they're not really my thing!
Great progress too.
