Some of the stars I posted a few days ago have now been added, 4 more on each strip and I'll have the width I want

Stitching updates
Once again last week I never got round to posting my progress on Toy Gatherer from last weekend so here it is before this weekend, the village has already grown :)
And Magical Night. Now if you happened to see a WIP Wednesday pic this week you'll be thinking that I've done nothing more on it since then but you'd be wrong. I had a major visit off the local frog and had to unpick 3/4 of the green swirl :( normally I would just fudge it but it was going to cause far more of a headache to do that then it would to frog and restitch so that's what I spent Thursday and Friday doing.

SFS March report
Time for my SFS report for the month
Starting budget = £62.12 (20 for March the rest carried over)
£ spent = £3.86
£ earnt = £3
Budget left = £61.26
The £ spent was on the express chart for Recipe for a Magical Night and the £ earnt is for the Easter exchange card and project that I can't share yet and I took £1 off because I had to buy a chart for it last month so it wasn't from stash.
And because I don't like posting without a pic a cover I made for myself as a spare so I have one to use when one needs a bath or I just fancy a change

Quilt stars
I've been plodding on with my quilt when the mood grabs me and have a more stars ready to add and a couple have made their way on to the 'big' piece already but I'll wait till they are all on to take a pic.
I can't decide if my favourite out of this lot is the first one or the last one!

Late GG post and weekend progress
It went right out my head that Sunday was the 15th and so Gifted Gorgeousness posting day :(
I've stitched my Easter Exchange piece but can't share those until next month so until then here's In The Post (Christmas gift of Fella) which did get some love earlier this month.
And over the weekend Toy Gatherer went from this which is the progress from the weekend before last that I never got round to posting
To this
This weekend I'm hoping to get the central bit of the border done

Pompadour bag
The other finish from yesterday's post and how my Mother's day started off :)
Way back last January I went on a class to make a reticule aka a small beaded bag. If you follow that link you'll see how it came home from the class.
I finished the beading not long after the class but discovered that the silk liner wasn't right, the channels for the tie's was in the wrong place and it got put aside while I figured out what to do. In the end Lorraine made me another one and it still sat waiting for me to get my arse in gear which I finally did on Saturday to make the bag for the bottom.
Yesterday I sat and stitched the beadwork to the liner and my bag was complete at long last.
Now I just need to make another one in a different colour!

Beading Finishes
I've been very bad the last couple of months when it comes to sharing my beading finishes :( no real reason for it other than just not getting round to it so here they are.
Celtic Knot in a different colourway to last time
Candy Cane I bought the kit for it from Beadflowers
And lastly Indian Summer balloon from 3D Beaded Ornaments on Etsy.
I have her Ziggy Zag balloon part done as well
I do have another finish to share but that can wait until tomorrow or there will be far to many pic on this post.

A first for me
I've been thinking for a while now that it was time I tried something new so several weeks ago I bought a zip with the idea that I really should learn how to put one in..
It took me a few more weeks to pluck up the courage and find a tutorial on youtube that I could follow and I finally took the plunge.
I dug out some furnishing fabric I was given thinking that I didn't want to ruin any of my lovely cotton and that it would be a little easier to work with and got to work.
It's far from perfect but I learnt a lot and the zip works :)
I even managed to pattern match the outside although I will admit that it was more by luck than judgement or planning.

Bit more quilt
I had another 2 stars ready to add to my quilt
So I spent yesterday adding them and the others to it
I also worked out that I'll need 132 blocks to make a king size quilt and I have 10 complete and stitched together and and 5 in various stages of completion, not to mention the half stars I'll need for the edge.
It's going to take a while for me to get enough fabric to do the stars so I think I'll aim for an end of decade finish on this!

Last weeks stitching
I spent the week days with In The Post
And the weekend with Toy Gatherer.
The sheep is finished and I have no idea why the colour looks so off!
But now he's done the bottom half is finished apart from the beads which means I can move on to the top :)
