I do still stitch, honest

I know that recently almost all my posts have been beading ones but that's because for the first few  months of the year I was working on models so of course I couldn't post them.

However one of them has now has now been released so I can share it

Meet Alane from AAN

Bit closer of the top

And the bottom

The fabric is one of Alessandra's new ones and it was lovely to stitch and Alane herself was a delight to stitch

Model finish

The model I spent most of January working on has been released so I'm now able to share.

My pic really doesn't do it justice but I struggled to get a good one it no matter where I tried to take one :(  if you follow the first link above that will take you to the page on the website for it
The fabric is gorgeous and is produced by Alessandra herself in fact I posted a pic of it when it arrived

New Model

On Saturday morning a model arrived for me from AAN with this beautiful piece of fabric for it.
It's called Fabric of Clouds and should be available on the AAN website early in the New Year (pic is posted with permission)

Next time you see it it'll have the stitched project on it once it's released

Another model revealed

This time it's for Alessandra Adelaide (AAN)
Alessandra posted in her Facebook group earlier this year asking for model stitchers in Europe and I put myself forward along with several others.
The one I picked to stitch is called Profumo De Primavera which Alessandra told me means scent of spring.

Here it is :)

It was an absolute delight to stitch and I was sad to see it end and then a couple of weeks ago I had a surprise in the post Alessandra had sent me a copy of the chart :)

And there's me named on the back :)

Progress and a finish

Last week's progress on the fruit, I've already filled in the gaps in the green this evening

And I did manage to finish Magical Night on Friday

I used the called for colours but decided to stitch one swirl with the JCS version not the express chart version just because I could :)

So far I'm loving this one

Magical night update

I've been working on Magical night while I wait for Pat to finish her turtles and I've spent the last few days on it since finishing the Lake District sampler.

The area I've been working on

And an overall piccie of it

Not much more to do really which is why I'm hoping to finish it this month

Stitching updates

First St Basils, I don't feel like I'm getting anywhere with this at the moment as all I seem to be doing every weekend is back stitch :( but I think I'm caught up on it now and so I should be able to start filling in more buildings

And Recipe for a Magical Night has seen the light of day this week.
I treated myself to working on it last Monday with it being a bank holiday here in the UK and then decided that I would work on it on Friday's while I wait for Pat to finish her turtles

Some updates

Last week I worked on the Lake District sampler once more, I won't make my goal of half done by the end of the month but it won't be far off

Friday I added another Turtle to my SAL project with Pat

I spent the weekend looking after a friend's son and took Magical Night with me to work while I was there because I've not decided on a new weekend project and I've missed this :(
I'm going to take a week's break when I finish the Lake District before I start the next one in the hope I can finish this.

And lastly my furry companion for the weekend in one the rare moments I wasn't being head butted or pounded/ purred at for attention :) he really is a BIG softie

Birthdays

Last Saturday was my Birthday and I had some lovely gifts off my family and fella which will probably be making an appearance at some stage but I also had a couple of stitching friends.

Over on Needlecraft Haven I took part in the Birthday exchange and received this package from Deb, she sent me the thread to stitch Friends Forever and a kit for a lovely little bracelet which I have made up but haven't taken a piccie of yet :(

And Clare sent me a lovely scissor fob, I'm still trying to decide which scissors to put it on!

Yesterday was my fella's Birthday and I gave him Elefante

And made him a set of coasters, the fabric in the background is the one I used for the back of them

Gifted Gorgeousness

Hosted by the lovely Jo of Serendipitous Stitching Gifted Gorgeousness aims to get us to stitch those charts and use the fabric/ threads that have gifted to us over our stitching life.

This month I have 2 projects to share.
First is Elefante from AAN, it's my fella's Birthday present and I have actually finished but it looks like I've not taken a piccie of it so  you'll have to make do with a WIP Wednesday one from over a week ago.  I will get one taken in the week when he's not around

Next is the reason I'm a day late in posting :)

Today is my Birthday and every year I have a new start :)
This year I've started 4 Wishes from Just Nan, way back in 2008!!!! I was RAKed with the chart, accessory pack, fabric and some of the DMC for it so I've really not had any reason not to start it before now but I haven't!

Stitching updates

Once again last week I never got round to posting my progress on Toy Gatherer from last weekend so here it is before this weekend, the village has already grown :)

And Magical Night.   Now if you happened to see a WIP Wednesday pic this week you'll be thinking that I've done nothing more on it since then but you'd be wrong.  I had a major visit off the local frog and had to unpick 3/4 of the green swirl :( normally I would just fudge it but it was going to cause far more of a headache to do that then it would to frog and restitch so that's what I spent Thursday and Friday doing.
