June Gifted Gorgeousness

Gifted Gorgeousness is hosted by the lovely Jo over at Serendipitous Stitching and the idea is to use all those charts/ kits/ threads/ etc that have been gifted to us over the years instead of leaving them sitting in our stash feeling unloved, shoehorning is also permitted :)

This month I only have my progress on In The Post to share with you, I've been busy working on Tea (the model) and this last week I've been spending almost all my time working on my Cheshire Show entry so very little stitching has happened :(

In case you wondering (or can't remember) I was gifted the kit for In The Post for Christmas a couple of years ago by fella, started it on Jan first and then got the fruit to stitch for someone and it was put aside now it's my current weekend project

Dove farm pendants

This weekend is the annual stitching weekend I attend and it's out 10th year so we will be having a little celebration and doing a goody bag exchange.   The idea was to make/ buy something that reminded you of Dove Farm for all the others attending.   I decided to bead a pen for everyone and make it more of a commemorative item.
But they aren't pens I can hear you thinking :)   That's because the Amazon seller I bought the pens off has let me down :(  I ordered them on June 1st and they should of been here by the 9th but they showed up so I had to come up with an alternate plan Thursday evening and this was it.
Each one is done with a individual in mind expect a few because they didn't give their prefs so I went with what I liked

And just so you can read one clearly

Weekend progress

Here's last weekends progress on In The Post as I set off for the annual Dove Farm weekend with other UK stitchers.

I have stitched the bit to the left of the lamp post but it's white so doesn't look like I have!

And an overall view

Fingers crossed lots of progress will be made this weekend once Tea is finished and handed back to Kate

Late TUSAL

By now you should all know about the totally useless stitch a long  hosted by Daffycat  and if you don't click on the link to find out more about it.

I've added orts from In The Post, Funky Street, Alchemical Romance, Cupcake boxer, Pie boxer, Tea and some sewing cotton from hexies.

And my beading orts

May progress & June goals

For May I said
Finish the Sunflower panel    No not quite but that's because I have a model to do
Pick my Birthday start and start it   Done but it's not the one I wanted to start :(
Get a few symbols done on Alchemical Romance    Done
Start at least one other new project   Done, I started and finished two and started a third :)
Get In The Post half done   Done :)
Keep up hexie and snowflake production to get my list down   I've been making hexie flowers but have yet to send them out!
Keep selling stash    Yep a few more things found new homes

For June I'd like to
Finish the Sunflower panel
Finish the model
It would be nice to finish In The Post
Keep making hexie flowers and snowflakes
Sell some stash

I stitched for 92 hours 17 minutes in May, more than I expected but having a stitching holiday helped with that :)    I had 5 new starts and 2 finishes and one day without a needle in my hand :(

Current PHD total = 29!
