Model revealed at last

Last year around October time I spotted a post on Facebook about model stitching for magazines and because it's something I've done many times before I decided to apply.

Many emails were exchanged and I eventually got a couple of projects sent out to me one of those has now appeared in print :)

You may of noticed that mine doesn't have the beads on it that's because they weren't sent to me 

December Gifted Gorgeousness and last finishes of 2016

Gifted Gorgeousness is an idea thought up by the lovely Jo over at Serendipitous Stitching to get all us stitchers using those items in our stash that have been gifted to us or that we intend to give as a gift.   

This month I only have Funky Street to share with you once again but this time in all it's glory because I finished it on December 22.

I bought the kit for it early this year and it was partly paid for by a voucher I received for Christmas which is why I'm counting it

On to my last finishes of 2016

I then went on to finish the Tomatoes that have been my away from home project, I knew I wouldn't be going anywhere else this year and wanted one less PHD starting off 2017

 The last stitch went in them on December 27

It's now 11.45 pm on December 31 and after spending all of today and pretty much most of the last couple of days doing nothing but stitch about an hour I finished Alchemical Romance.

This was my Jan 1st start this year and I struck the urge to try and make it my last finish of the year as well

Midnight is almost here so I wish you all a very Happy New Year and may 2017 be a happy healthy one.

Little House Needleworks Needleworker.

Stitched on Dr Smiths Tonic from Sparklies using the Crescent Colours in the pack.

Started on Sept 27 on the stitching holiday I went on and finished on 19 Oct

Croakworth finish

I took Craokworth with me last week on the stitching holiday in Lincoln and finished it on Tuesday.

Pat finished her's a couple of weeks ago and so it went with me with her blessing :)

Wedding gift finish

Fella's son is getting married next month and he asked me to stitch a wedding sampler for him.

After much searching around he finally settled on this one, Just Married Snippet from Lizzie Kate.

I didn't have any of the called for colours apart from one so we spend a couple of hours one afternoon playing about with what I did have and various possible fabrics until this combo was settled upon, I think it turned out rather well :)

It's very odd for me to be organized so far in advance! normally I'd be finishing it a day or so before it's needed and putting it in a ready made frame on the morning.

Weekend progress

I filled in the top of the post box over the weekend which can only mean one thing.......

LK Boxer finish

Last week I decided it was time to finish Pie off from the Lizzie Kate Sweet Tooth Junior boxers.

Last time it appeared on a post it only had the border but I'd also done the brown inner border although that wasn't on the pic.

I spent all last week on it and by Friday evening it looked like this, I could of finished it on Saturday but really wanted to get on with my postbox :)

An hour or so on Monday night once I got home from bowls and it was finished

Sunflower panel is finished :)

This was my Jan 1st start in 2015 and got put aside for the fruit and Lake District sampler.  I pulled it out earlier this year and have worked on it on and off since then, I had hoped to finish it yesterday afternoon but ran out of time before I had to go bowling so an hour once I got home again saw it finished and crossed off the PHD list :)

Kate has let me know that Tea has arrived back with her safely so now I'll share it with the rest of the stitching world :)

Now I need to stitch it for me at some point

Easter themed finishes

OK so Daffodils aren't exactly an Easter 'thing' but they are abundant at this time of year and it's Easter Monday :) that's my excuse and I'm sticking to it

Heritage Crafts Simply Cross Stitch Mini Daffodils kit.

Now I just need to track down the Mini Sunflower and Poppy kits.

Next is a Simnel Cake designed by Katie Dean I bought the kit to make it when I bought her Sweet Treats book a couple of years ago and finally got round to making it this year

A Fruitie finish

That's right folks the fruit is finished and is now winging it's way back to it's owner.

This was the bit I was working on in last week's progress piccie

And as a whole

I started it on October 5 and finished March 12, if you take out December it's only taken 4 months but it felt an awful lot longer!

4 Wishes Happy Dance

Woohoo my first weekend project of the year is finished :)

Just Nan's 4 Wishes, started on May 16 2015 (my annual Birthday start) and finished 5 March 2016.

If you remember I made a mistake further up and one band ended up wider than it should of been so I had to add an extra little bit at the bottom to compensate for it hence the row of blue under the snowflakes for anyone that knows the design :)
